Live house “BLAZE” to reopen in Gotanda in February 2026
Originally closed in July 2024, Shinjuku BLAZE returns with a new 500-capacity venue in Gotanda.
The iconic live house “BLAZE”, which previously operated in Shinjuku and closed its doors on July 31, 2024, is officially making a comeback — this time in Gotanda. The new space, titled BLAZE Gotanda, will open in late February 2026, according to an announcement by Oricon News.
The new venue will feature a capacity of approximately 500 people and will be located just a five-minute walk from Gotanda Station. It will operate as a combined live lounge and performance space, offering a more versatile setup than its predecessor.
Shinjuku BLAZE, which hosted countless Visual Kei and rock acts during its run, was a cornerstone of Tokyo’s indies scene. Its revival marks a hopeful return for live culture in the post-pandemic era, bringing a beloved name back to Tokyo’s venue circuit.
