Jeniva(ジェニヴァ)
Active: 2004–2006(one-day revival 2007.10.14) · Area: Tokyo · Scene: tanbi-kei / gothic-leaning visual kei
Jeniva formed in 2004, paused later that year, then revived in 2005. Across 2005–2006 they issued a run of singles culminating in 想浮、明くる緋ノ月 (2006) and 灰色に降る雨 (2006), before disbanding on 2006-10-14 after keyboardist Junna announced his secession. They returned for a one-day revival on 2007-10-14. Sonically they sit in tanbi-kei with gothic/metal colors and melodic speed elements.

Why They’re A Gem
Ultra-short-lived and cryptic, but packed with DNA that would spill straight into 摩天楼オペラ. If you’re into elegant, melodic VK with gothic/metal edges, Jeniva’s 「月下氷人 → 下弦の月」 run is essential archaeology.
