PARAMENA Debut Digital EP "APEIRON EP" Coming April 2026
PARAMENA is making their mark with a bold debut: a five-track digital EP titled *APEIRON EP*, dropping April 29, 2026. This is your first official taste of a band that blends djent-influenced heaviness with theatrical Japanese rock sensibilities.
The lineup reads like a who's-who of the underground scene. Vocalist yu-to commands the mic alongside three guitarists—zima (formerly of SIERRA), Saya, and MASAToooN!—creating a wall of intricate riffing. Bassist Futa brings experience from Nigella, while drummer Shunya splits time between Altar of Dementia, BLØØM IN THE CREVASSE, and INKLXSHA. This is a supergroup assembled from Japan's experimental rock underground.
The *APEIRON EP* tracklist showcases their range:
1. MORPHΩGENESIS
2. KAGUTSUCHI.dat
3. Hyperlapse
4. Dreamkiller
5. Sugar (System Of A Down cover)
They've already dropped official content to build anticipation. An *Hyperlapse* lyric video is live on YouTube, and a teaser for the full EP gives us our first sonic glimpse of what PARAMENA brings to the table. The song titles alone—referencing mythological concepts (Kagutsuchi, the Shinto fire god) and sci-fi imagery—hint at the intellectual, prog-forward approach they're taking.
The System of a Down cover is particularly intriguing; it suggests PARAMENA aren't afraid to reference Western metal and alternative influences while carving their own path in the Japanese rock landscape.
You can pre-save *APEIRON EP* now via DistroKid across all major streaming platforms. For updates and behind-the-scenes content, follow PARAMENA on X (formerly Twitter).
If you're into technical, atmospheric heavy rock with Japanese flair, mark your calendar for April 2026—this is one debut you won't want to sleep on.
